ABOUT ME + MY MISSION
My name Is Elizabeth Ray and I'm an artist and shop owner in New Orleans. I spent about 15 years as a photographer doing weddings and portraits and I loved playing with light, color, and emotion. I knew I had to explore further and I had to see what being an artist of light and color meant. I moved to the beach and started to paint , photograph crystals, and I really started to embrace a spiritual path of personal development and mindset.
SHINE WITHIN was created
Years ago I experienced my inner world dissolve as the result of a toxic relationship which resulted in a profound spiritual awakening. I found healing through connecting with my subconscious and I discovered the transformative power of bringing light, awareness, and connection within. I'm fascinated about our inner worlds and the way the mind, body, and spirit work together.
I have wanted to bring back Shine Within for a long time, but I want to return with a clear focus on inner work and true interior beauty of your spirit. I've learned to channel devastation into creation and aim to guide others in connecting to inner support, protection, and purpose. This is more than being an artist curious about color and light but a space to help others shift into light to find a resilient path that is waiting to be discovered.
This is the journey of shine within.
ALLIGATOR EYES SPARKLE SHOP

I own a wacky sparkle shop on Magazine street. I make wild rhinestone sunglasses, handmade costume headpieces, and the shop is loaded up with cat statues and funny gifts. This is a store of creative expression and happy days. I added a FIND YOUR SPARKLE section to bridge together SHINE WITHIN + Alligator Eyes. It is loaded up with my favorite self care products like eye masks, candles, incense and mindset set tools like journals and affirmation decks. It is my DREAM to have my own SHINE WITHIN products so more sparkle shops can help me with my mission. BUT I will stress self care is not products its commitment to your inner world by honoring your body, feelings, and dreams. Products are just fun tools to keep you on that track.
I am rooted in so within so without - which means how you feel on the inside is reflected in the external life you live.
We are here to create and express life in whatever way we feel called.
This is why I knew as an artist I had to bring back SHINE WITHIN. These two companies are so opposite to each other but work together in a way of balance. I’m so excited to start making resources and fun products to enjoy.
